15 minutes of a film. Intruders

The intro of this film starts off with a suspensive music and title sequences, this gave me an idea of how we would start our title sequences and also add suspense with the diegetic sounding. I think it would be a good idea to use both diegetic sound and non diegetic sounding fro our title sequences.
The title sequences also starts off very late into the film which would not suit our film.

What mise-en scene is
The arrangement of everything that appears in the framing – actors, lighting, décor, props, costume – is called mise-en-scène, a French term that means “placing on stage.” The frame and camerawork also constitute the mise-en-scène of a movie.
The lighting of the film is quite dark however the characters features are still seen, it seems to be filmed at night so the lighting for it is vert relevant. It helped me to think about how we should have our lighting. when it is 13 minutes and 30 seconds in the lighting changes to blue colour to create a suspense feeling fro the audience.
The props and the costumes for the film is quite old, i can tell this by the quality of the film and how everything is set out, for example  the house is decorated with furniture that is not modern. The woman's hair style is also done how she is clothed. The props and costumes do not really help our film; due to the fact that ours is set in modern times.

Non-diegetic sound

Sound whose source is neither visible on the screen nor has been implied to be present in the action:
  • narrator's commentary
  • sound effects which is added for the dramatic effect
  • mood music
Non-diegetic sound is represented as coming from the a source outside story space.

 Diegetic sound

Sound whose source is visible on the screen or whose source is implied to be present by the action of the film:
  • voices of characters
  • sounds made by objects in the story
  • music represented as coming from instruments in the story space ( = source music)
Diegetic sound is any sound presented as originated from source within the film's world

lighting
the lighting throughout the film is very dark with rays of lighting so that the characters face are seen, it is important that the lighting is not to dark; due to the fact that it is not as effective when the characters face expressions are not seen. In this film most of the shots are took at night, and it has given me an a perspective of how the lighting should be i our film, as we are also filming at night that is why it is critical that we find the right ray of lighting throughout our film.  We are also going to eliminate any shadows. one way is if the key light and the fill light are placed opposite side of each other, this fills in the shadows that is created by the key,The fill will usually be softer and less bright than the key.

The establishing shot of the film is of a black car at night travelling to a place that looks like military setting. The place that they arrive at seems to be secretive place that not everyone can enter.  There is a medium close up of the guy in the car to show his importance ( by showing his badge.) there is a close up of the other person in car, however this shot is an close up head shot to show that how more important the person is.
