- This is a general set up for a sound designer, you don't have to have to use 2 pc's and 4 speakers but it helps with the recording quality.
- Sound design most commonly involves the manipulation of previously composed or recorded audio, such as sound effects and dialogue. In some instances it may also involve the composition or manipulation of audio to create a desired effect or mood.
- Foley Art: Foley is the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to film, video, and other media in post-production to enhance audio quality. These reproduced sounds can be anything from the swishing of clothing and footsteps to squeaky doors and breaking glass.
- In the picture the woman is reading what sound she needs to record next, the sounds she will most likely be making is using a metal bucket, a belt, sand/gravel and a drum stick. She will use record the sounds using the mic in the picture.
- The best foley art is so well integrated into a film that it goes unnoticed by the audience. It helps to create a sense of reality within a scene. Without these crucial background noises, movies feel unnaturally quiet and uncomfortable.
