the characters that are involved: Lucy the girl who comes in contact with the doll. Patrick the father who doesn't believe his daughter about her supernatural theories. only believes it until its too late. The beginning of the film would start off with the little girls bedroom (establishing shot.) the lighting used would be a low key lighting to create a suspense feeling. A sudden noise would come from the corner of the room that would awake Lucy, making her questioning if she is alone in her room.As nights go on she starts wondering if she should confide in her dad about whats been happening and how she feels about it. Due to the fact that she is not close to her dad, this makes her question if talking to her dad is the right thing to do. One night, the room felt completely cold and the noises in the corner started getting louder, so Lucy finally build up the courage to get out of her bed without making no noise. She slowly gets down to look under her bed when a sharp noise carried on drawing her near to the left corner. she makes her way to the dark corner of her room. what appeared in front of Lucy was not something ordinary. There seem to be a little doll that she had never seen before in her life, the doll did not look like any ordinary children's doll; as soon as Lucy set eyes on this doll she knew that something supernatural going " where did you come from? is this a joke" she said to herself in a choked up voice. as she went to hold the doll to throw her out of the window, she somehow cut her thumb and she was determined that it was the dolls doing. Lucy threw the doll out of her window and shut her window hoping that she would never see it ever again. The next morning when Lucy got up, she almost feels perfect, she looks over to the left hand side of her to find a picture of her mum and her when she was a little kid. " mum i miss you so much, i still think about you every morning" she cried with tears steaming down her face. Lucy's mum died when she was 4 due to cancer, both Lucy and her father have not got over this tragedy yet. A Lucy went downstairs in a rather calm mood. as she was about to sit at the dinning table her dad Patrick pulled out the doll that she had thrown outside "look what i found Lucy, its your mum's old doll, she got it given to her when she was 6 years old and i have just found it behind the couch" Lucy shouted in fear, telling her dad about the "theories" she had about the doll. Lucy's dad refused to throw the doll away. Weeks went by Lucy started getting bruises when she woke up, she showed her dad however her father still choose to believe that the doll was just innocent, and that it was just Lucy acting out for attention. Lucy started getting really bad nightmares that she sometimes did not wake up from until a few days. Her dad finally believed that there was something going on, however he was too late. As one morning he went to wake up his precious daughter,to find her in a deep sleep that went on for days/weeks/months.
This is the doll that is in the conjuring and my idea is to create a doll that looks like the doll Anabelle. when i watched this film i felt on edge and scared every time the doll came on and that is one of the reasons why i think it is a good idea to do our film based around the doll.
when the conjuring came out the whole advertising for example posters and trailers got me hooked and determined to watch it because it just looked brilliant.
And that is something i want to create that with our film, i want people to read about our film and get intrigued and interested to watch it just like i did with the conjuring.
i know that it is very difficult to make our film as good as the conjuring simply due to the fact that the film got really fantastic reviews from both user viewer and critic, the filmed grossed over 300 million all over the world. The film budget that they had was 20 million and our budget is very small so we do not have the resources that this film production has.
The director (James wan) of the conjuring has also had good experience with directing other horror films, he was widely known for directing the horror film saw and insidious which both had great reviews
